A three-month advanced meditation course based on the ancient Yogic science of India drawing on this rich and long-standing technology and model of self. This program offers expert instruction by a life-long meditation and breath work (praanayaam) specialist who, growing up in India, has been intensively immersed in the discipline, philosophy and science of yog and meditation. We will also explore applications of health care, physiology and pain management, stress and grief management and generally the applications and implications from the western perspective and science.

Where: The Beach, Toronto, Ontario

WHEN: Starts: October 10, 2009, Saturday 4-8 p.m. Ends: December 5th, 2009, Saturday 4-8 p.m.Every tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and alternating Saturdays 4-8 p.m.60 in-class hours of training, weekly email support plus 25 hours homework and podcast instruction. Participants will receive a Certificate at the end of the program.

WHO: Sachne J. Kilner is an internationally certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor and Teacher Trainer who was raised in the Himalayas with Yoga as a lifestyle and focus of study. This education encompassed the 8 limbs, or parts of yogic lifestyle/study including scripture translation from Sanskrit, Asana (physical postures), Pranayam (science of breath), Meditation, Ayurvedic medicinal approach and Ayurvedic Psychology, as well as mantra/chant and classical northern music on sitar. She has an M.A. in Yogic Sciences from West Bengal India, ‘87. She is a published writer particularly on the efficacy of meditation. Currently Sachne resides in Toronto teaching, Life Coaching, Teacher Training and writing. She is also available for private, group, corporate, and phone sessions. .
